Loeffler-Endurance-Team: Obermueller Philipp

Philipp Obermüller is a member of the Löffler Endurance Team. He tells us more about himself.

1) Which sport do you practice and how did you get into it?

Running! I have been running since I was little and I really enjoy running. I really started to train professionally about 1.5 years ago.

2) Describe yourself in max. five words.

purposeful, helpful, funny, sporty, persevering

3) What do you do apart from sports?

Besides sports I work at the professional fire brigade in Linz. On my days off I like to sit on my motocross machine or do something with my friends.

I try to spend the little time I have left at home with my family and friends, away from training and studying.

4) What are your sporting plans for 2019?

My goals for 2019 are first of all to optimize and get used to my new running technique. Furthermore, I want to reach top rankings in various running competitions and improve my personal records.

5) What is your current training routine? Tell us your favourite exercise from your training.

On a “normal” training day I usually go for a run in the morning. Depending on the intensity of the run, I take a short power nap after lunch and in the afternoon I do a second session such as weight training, cycling, coordination…

6) What do you associate with Löffler?

For me, Löffler stands for an Austrian quality product that produces very high-quality, durable and functional sportswear. I have worn Löffler clothing since I was a child and felt very comfortable in it. The quality and comfort of the products convinced me.

With “Made for Better” I associate top clothing for every sport in every weather condition to achieve the best performance.

7) Löffler-Endurance-Team: what does being a team member mean to you?

I am very happy and grateful to be a part of the Löffler Endurance Team. It motivates me extremely and makes me proud to have got this chance.

It is a dream to be equipped with new high-quality clothes in daily training.

Road cycling kit for a cold start and a warm afternoon

On long days in the saddle, you’ll ride with a base layer (short-sleeved jersey, cycling shorts) and additional layers you can take off: arm warmers, leg warmers and a windproof vest. Whatever you need in the morning to stop yourself getting cold must fit into your jersey pocket by the afternoon, without you having to stop and change.

Gravel clothing: The right kit for long days and changing conditions

For gravel rides, you don’t need a road cycling kit – nor do you need MTB gear. Gravel clothing solves a specific problem: comfort over long distances on varied terrain, with temperatures that can fluctuate by 10 degrees or more over the course of a day. The answer is a modular setup comprising a durable jersey, a long-distance-ready chamois, a packable windbreaker and a base layer with proper storage space.
