Fischer Skiletics Park

In Ramsau at the foot of the Dachstein massif there is a very special gym: the Fischer Skiletics Park. This is not a fitness studio in the conventional sense. Rather, it is an “outdoor fitness studio” on the cross-country ski trail. Cross-country skiers can get their whole body in shape there with exercises of their own strength. There are 15 stations in the park with exercises explained on signs. The mix of classic and skating exercises appeals to all muscle groups of the body. So here you can get into cross-country skiing shape in no time.

Panorama cross-country ski run on the Dachstein glacier

The Dachstein rises 2,996 metres and is thus the second highest peak in the northern Alps. On its eternal ice at 2,700 metres above sea level, the world’s longest glacier cross-country ski runs stretch out. The fact that from up there, one has an unbelievable view to the surrounding mountain scenery does not have to be specially mentioned. More worth mentioning, however, is the fact that the world’s cross-country skiing elite cavort here, because from November to July you can train busily. An extra long season, then. But the trails there are not only for professional athletes. They are also suitable for hobby athletes.
