Think global - and act local!
These days there is much discussion about the high prices for energy and food. Many people are forced to adjust their standard of living to the current situation. Many buy low-cost products both for the daily needs, but this applies also for clothes for sports and leisure time.
Almost 100% of low-cost clothes come from low-wage countries which have low to no social and production-related obligations for the production (e.g. health insurance or waste management) and therefore burden our environment in many ways.
Where and how are products actually manufactured? Many critical consumers and responsible retailers ask this crucial question. Also among manufacturers a process of rethinking is taking place and the subject-matter of "responsibility for sustainable production" must surely become part of the corporate philosophy of many manufacturers.
Löffler has been going this way consistently for many years now and has maintained, expanded, and equipped the production for future demands at their location in Ried / Upper Austria.
Thus, almost all fabrics are knitted in the in-house knitting factory in Ried and are dyed and finished for further processing in Central Europe (Austria and Germany).
